It’s not uncommon for signature athletes to pay homage to the people and places that were part of their upbringing. For Jayson Tatum, who has a signature sneaker line with Jordan Brand, his first model, the Jordan Tatum 1, honored his hometown of St. Louis. However, the Tatum 2’s quick lifespan didn’t allow the Celtics superstar to show love to the 314. However, his Tatum 3 model has just emerged in a paisley-laden colorway that contains nods to his hometown.
While at first glance, the paisley and the intricate stitching details on the upper appear to be the central theme, including the 314 area code on the pull tab on the heel rightfully makes this sneaker an homage to St. Louis, Missouri. As for the color palette, things remain mostly neutral, with a mixture of greys and platinum on the multi-paneled and multi-material upper. Select panels see a platinum-shaded paisley print sandwiched between solid grey canvas and separated by black textiles.

Near the midfoot, we have intricate embroidery in red and white, which appears similar to traditional Japanese techniques, with the other being an obvious reference to Tatum’s jersey number, 0. Aside from the aforementioned embroidery and the custom 314 area code on the pull tab, the rest of the sneaker remains standard, with Jumpman logos near the lateral toe and JT for Jayson Tatum landing on the insole and tongue tag. Finishing the design is the grey, black, and platinum-shaded midsole featuring Zoom Air cushioning paired with a clear, black, and grey outsole.
The Jordan Tatum 3 St. Louis will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $125.
