Air Max technology has evolved significantly since Tinker Hatfield first designed the Air Max 1, spanning dozens of different types of Air cushioning and bag designs. The latest entry in the illustrious series is the Dynamic Air unit, which debuted on the Air Max DN in 2024 and updated with the DN8 in 2025. As part of 2025’s Air Max Day celebrations in March, The Swoosh is dropping a women’s and a men’s Air Max DN8.
While the women’s pair takes on a pink finish, this men’s pair opts for a black, green strike, and volt color combo, applying volt green hues to the mesh base layer. An ombre effect is applied to the Nexkin mesh slash cutouts on the midfoot, going from black to green strike as you move from bottom to top. Solid black hits are placed on the mudguard, eyelets, tongue, lace set, sockliner, Swoosh logos, and TPU heel counter.

Dynamic Air branding takes center stage on the heel tab, riffing off the Tuned Air logo on the Air Max Plus. Completing the design is the black foam midsole with two green-shaded Dynamic Air units, which feature multi-pressured chambers that flow freely between the various units, and a black, red, and green outsole.
The Nike Air Max DN8 Air Max Day will release on March 26, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $190.
