March is an important month for Nike, as the 26th marks an important day in the company’s history—the date the original Air Max 1 was released to the public in 1987. Starting in 2014, the day has become an unofficial holiday as The Swoosh packs the month, precisely this day, with releases across various Air Max models. It will often use this day to highlight its latest innovations. This rings true again, as we’re expecting a few new Air Max DN8 colorways on the 26th, including this women’s exclusive Air Max Day variant.
First introduced in a limited drop in February, the Air Max DN8 updates last year’s Air Max DN, which debuted the Dynamic Air unit, by adding this new Air unit across the full length of the sole. That first rendition saw the upper coated entirely in bright pink hues, which isn’t far from this women’s Air Max Day variant. Here, the mesh upper is coated in pink, while the Nexkin mesh slashes on the midfoot take on an ombre effect, transitioning from black to dark pink.

More black details are found on the mini Swoosh near the vamp, the Swoosh on the collar, the Air Max logo atop the tongue, and the TPU heel counter. Air Max DN logos come attached to the heel, playing off the design of the Tuned Air logo from the Air Max Plus. Finishing the sneaker is the black foam midsole with pink Dynamic Air units in the heel and forefoot and a black and pink rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max DN8 Air Max Day W will release on March 26, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $190.
