Collaborating with partners is one of the best ways to get energy and hype around an archival model being brought to the market. Nike did just that when the Air Max Sunder retro began late last year, introducing us to GR colorways before giving streetwear brand Kids of Immigrants a shot at tweaking the cult-classic Air Max sneaker. To follow up on the Sundial and Persian Violet colorways, both of which ended up being in the conversation of sneaker of the year across social media, Kids of Immigrants is launching a third rendition in Olive Grey.
While the Sundial and Persian Violet colorways were meant to represent sunrise and sunset, respectively, this new Olive Grey color scheme comes with the nickname Concrete Sky. The likely inspiration is a play on the concrete streets and sky of Los Angeles, where Kids of Immigrants started. In these early sample images, we see what appears to be the same material makeup as the two released colorways, ripstop nylon, with the grid pattern across the upper, taking on a gradient finish that transitions from a sky blue near the top to a deep grape purple.

Pops of sundial are on the interior sockliner and the mini Swoosh on the lateral collar, while more purple marks the pull tabs along the tongue and heel. Near the toe, a large suede panel contrasts the drab olive grey, concrete-like base layer with its purple finish, while earthy brown hues come placed along the lace set. Below, the sneaker has a velvet brown foam midsole featuring a concrete grey speckled midfoot shank and visible Air units in the forefoot and heel.
Though not visible in the photos, the same unique details on the other two colorways will be present. This design includes the custom Kids of Immigrants logos on the insole, below the zipper shroud, and on the heel tab. The outsole below also splits the brand’s name between the left and right sneaker, while the insole features Just Do It text on the right insert and Together on the left. Finally, the release is completed with a custom box featuring a Kids of Immigrants and Nike-branded international phone card.
The Kids of Immigrants x Nike Air Max Sunder Concrete Sky will release in Summer 2025 through Nike, Kids of Immigrants, and possibly select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $190. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
