This February, Puma is teaming up with LaMelo Ball and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series to launch a four-piece capsule consisting of two MB.04s, one for Donatello & Raphael and the other for Michelangelo & Leonardo, an MB.03 Low for Krang, and an MB.01 for Baxter Stockman. On top of these pairs, the German sportswear brand has crafted an ultra-limited Puma MB.04 Shredder, with only 444 pairs being gifted to those who collect the whole set. Outside of performance basketball, Puma will bring the series to lifestyle models like the Puma Suede XL.
Joining this Suede XL, which pays tribute to the four turtles, is a Suede XL for Krang, with the two following a similar design language. Where Krang’s pair brings his brain-like appearance to the upper through a textured upper, this pair for the turtles features a turtle skin-like appearance (not too far from Jordan Brand’s elephant print) in a green hue. Nods to the four turtles’ headbands are found on the Formstrip, taking on a suede finish and coming mismatched between all the lateral and medial sides of each shoe.

The left pair comes with Donatello & Raphael references through the Formstrips and the lace charms, while the right pair does the same for Michelangelo & Leonardo. These charms also include nods to their favorite snack, pizza, and the TMNT series. The insole features a custom graphic depicting the turtles, with other references to TMNT found on the tongue tag and City Sewer-branded hang tag. Finishing the sneaker is the gum rubber sole unit.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Puma Suede XL will release in 2025 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
