KD has finally made his decision and will stay with the Brooklyn Nets for the foreseeable future. While this decision has a major impact on the league itself, his line with Nike has not slowed down during this tumultuous period of uncertainty, recently revealing plenty of team colors on the Nike KD 15. Its also on this silhouette that one of Durant’s favorite musical artists, 9th Wonder, brings his 2020 LP “Zion V: The Ballad of Charles Douthit” to life.
The silhouette keeps its mesh and TPU constructed upper, though mismatching shades and branding are split between each pair. Similarities between each come via the black mesh, purple fused mudguard, and smokey grey TPU side cage, while the laces, sockliner, and accenting eyestays flip shades. Atop the tongue, the right sneaker keeps its KD logo though an orange tab with 9th Wonder’s logo is attached while the left flips the two and adds KD to the mix with purple. Around the collar sits a white leather, accenting the orange and purple leather pull tabs that sit on the left and right pair respectively. 9th Wonders album, Zion V, is memorialized on the reverse of the tongue with “Charles Douthit” embroidered. Underfoot, the Air Zoom cushioned midsole gets dressed in black while the outsole below gets an icy blue makeover.
The 9th Wonder x Nike KD 15 Charles Douthit is set to release on September 8th, 2022 through Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app for more up-to-date info regarding sneakers, streetwear, and more.
