Drawing inspiration from his previous hits like the Lapiz Lazuli 990v6, Bronson unveils a striking blue-themed version of the 1906R. At its core, the silhouette remains true to New Balance's iconic design, but Bronson's influence is palpable. Moving away from the greens and earth tones that previously adorned his first 1906R, and the women's colors found on his other pair, the Medusa Azul offers a refreshing splash of color that is bound to turn heads. Notable detailing includes the distinctive Baklava branding sitting proudly atop the tongue. A vibrant blue foam midsole elevates the sneaker’s base, borrowed ingeniously from the 860v2, and it all rests on a classic gum rubber outsole.
The Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R Medusa Azul first was released on June 21, 2024, through Action Bronson's website. A release via New Balance and select retailers will take place on July 12. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $185.
