As Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves fight to keep the team alive in the Western Conference Finals, with the team down 3-1 in the series, Edwards’ partnership with adidas continues to flourish. Ant’s first signature sneaker, the adidas AE 1, has already garnered significant attention with sneakerheads and ball players. Now, the low-top variant is set to make a grand entrance. Following up on multiple adidas AE 1 Lows, including the MX Grey, Slime, and Mural, the upcoming Best of Adi 2.0 colorway has been revealed.
The adidas AE 1 Low Best of Adi 2.0 offers a fresh take on the original AE 1 Best of Adi, inspired by the iconic Stormtrooper theme prevalent throughout adidas Basketball's history. This colorway features a predominantly white and black palette, giving it a timeless yet modern look. The white honeycomb TPU midfoot cage provides stability and support, while the reflective silver 3M toe cap adds a touch of flair against the black Primeblue knit base. Vibrant red accents highlight the branding details, including Anthony Edwards' logo on the tongue and the classic Trefoil design on the heel.
Inside, the sneaker boasts an upgraded cushioning setup with a full-length Lightboost system, ensuring maximum comfort and responsiveness. The innovative 3D TPU blade enhances containment, making the shoe perfect for high-intensity gameplay. The clear rubber outsole, revealing a red TPU propulsion plate, adds to the aesthetic appeal and provides extra energy return, giving players an edge on the court.
The adidas AE 1 Low Best of Adi 2 will release in January 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
