Currently leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a promising playoff position against the Suns, Anthony Edwards has used this spotlight to unveil the adidas AE 1 Low, a fresh, more agile iteration of his popular adidas AE 1 model. While we saw the pair he wore on his feet, the Mural colorway, an early image of another rendition of the AE 1 Low emerged.
The adidas AE 1 Low MX Red incorporates a visually striking MX swirl pattern, a design choice that mirrors upcoming editions like the MX Charcoal and MX Fuchsia. This model showcases a cream-colored knit upper that elegantly contrasts with a red and cream-swirled TPU panel, creating a vibrant yet refined aesthetic. The sneaker further amplifies its appeal with a bold red lace set and pops of volt on the iconic adidas Three Stripes at the heel and the outsole. The AE 1 Low is engineered with Light Boost cushioning technology, offering a lighter alternative to the original's Boost and Lightstrike blend, tailored for enhanced performance and comfort.
The adidas AE 1 Low MX Red will release in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
