Anthony Edwards and adidas created a hit with the AE 1 silhouette. Not only is it regarded as the best signature sneaker to come from an adidas Basketball athlete in years, but it is also seen as THE best signature model on the market by many. With the buzz around the sneaker, adidas has plans for more and more colorways, including a Bred rendition and a new low-top variant of the model. On top of this, the silhouette is getting the MX treatment, akin to how Yeezy would marble colors together on the Foam RNNR, on the MX Charcoal, and now on the MX Fuchsia colorway.
This new rendition of the AE 1 incorporates a distinctive marbling effect that hits the midfoot TPU panel. The upper is constructed from adidas' sustainable Primeblue material, a high-performance recycled fabric that forms part of the brand's commitment to eliminate plastic waste, in a black hue. On the heel, we see the faux carbon fiber heel counter, which hosts a Three Stripes logo in lucid pink, matching the color of the toebox and the Anthony Edwards logo atop the tongue.
The highlight of this colorway is the marbled tie-dye effect applied to the midfoot TPU panel, which retains its honeycomb structure. Swirls of pink, green, purple, and black dominate this part of the sneaker, extending down to the outsole. Encapsulated within the sole is a combination of Lightstrike and Boost cushioning, making the AE 1 one of the best-performance basketball models on the market.
The adidas AE 1 MX Fuchsia will release in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizes and grade school sizes, the sneaker will retail for $120 and $100, respectively.
