The Crazy 8, initially launched as the KB8, holds a special place in basketball enthusiasts and sneakerheads' hearts, marking the early stages of Kobe Bryant's legendary career. As adidas continues to celebrate Bryant's legacy, as seen with continuous releases of this silhouette and the upcoming reintroduction of his second sneaker, the Crazy 98 (dubbed initially the KB8 2), a new colorway of the Crazy 8 has emerged in Philly-friendly colors.
Taking on a color scheme that reminds us of the city Bryant was born in and played high school ball, the adidas Crazy 8 Philly is drenched in a vibrant color scheme of red, white, and blue. The shoe's upper combines premium materials, including suede, neoprene, and leather, predominantly featured in a striking red hue. This bold color choice is balanced with blue accents on the pull tabs and the iconic Three Stripes branding on the tongue and lateral collar, contrasting the design. White elements interspersed among the red suede overlays on the midfoot further enhance the visual appeal, while the foam midsole comes in white. The red, white, and blue rubber outsole is rounding out the look.
The adidas Crazy 8 Philly will release in 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
