Amidst the giants of the basketball sneaker world, adidas has managed to carve out its own space by honoring the legacy of its past creations and infusing them with modern sensibilities. Fond memories arise as sneakerheads and Lakers fans recall when Kobe Bryant graced the courts in his adidas signature series. Now, adidas elevates its game with the Crazy IIInfinity, a masterful reimagining of the revered adidas Crazy 1. After making waves with its pristine "White Black" debut, anticipation builds for the imminent release of its "Core Black" counterpart.
This contemporary design effortlessly blends dark tones. A harmonious dance between black and dark grey can be observed across the entire facade, from the synthetic rubber that graces the toecap, midfoot, and heel. The Three Stripes branding seamlessly debosses into the midfoot and toe. At the same time, the heel adorns a timeless Trefoil logo alongside an infinity symbol, a play on Kobe’s number “8” and nodding to his legacy that will live on forever. A zippered mesh shroud cloaks the laces, adding a touch of intrigue and revealing a snug neoprene bootie and mesh collar beneath. To cap off this sleek design, an EVA-cushioned midsole joins forces with a durable black rubber outsole to ensure comfort and grip on the court.
After being revealed via official imagery, the adidas Crazy IIInfinity Core Black was photographed by Victor Kan, Brand Director for Packer Shoes, teasing a potential early release via the Jersey-based retailer like the first colorway of the model.
The adidas Crazy IIInfinity Core Black will release October 6, 2023, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Packer Shoes will be hosting an early drop on September 22, 2023.
