The holidays are almost upon us, and just like every year, footwear brands are gearing up to celebrate with special colorways and releases. For The Three Stripes, it seems that just adding colors to their models is not enough as an official collaboration with Dr. Seuss’ iconic character The Grinch.
Just like the man who tried to ruin Christmas for Whoville, the upper comes covered in a shaggy suede that takes on a two-tone green appearance. On the base layer around the toebox, tongue, and portions of the collar and heel you’ll find a lighter green shade while the overlays throughout take on a darker appearance. Both of these come accented by volt green laces that feature charms of The Grinch, his dog Max, and a stack of presents while the tongue tag on the right pair gets taken over by The Grinch’s face. More caricatures of The Grinch appear on the insole with the left sneaker showcasing him in a sad mood while it looks like his heart grew three sizes on the right pair. Rounding out the design is the bright green sole unit and a co-branded hangtag between adidas and The Grinch.
The adidas Forum Low Grinch is set to release on December 1st, 2022 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
