Aime Leon Dore (ALD), Teddy Santis' brainchild, has burgeoned from its humble beginnings in New York City to a globally recognized fashion brand renowned for its sophisticated blend of contemporary style and vintage inspirations. The brand's collaboration with New Balance has become a hallmark of quality and style within the sneaker community. Following the success of their previous projects, including the celebrated 990v6, ALD and New Balance have joined forces once again to unveil a collaborative New Balance 990v4 Made in USA.
Launching as a flagship piece of ALD's Spring 2024 Collection, the Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 990v4 Made in USA embodies the high-quality ethos of both brands. The sneaker features premium pigskin suede overlays and perforated nubuck at the toe and beneath the midfoot overlays, offering a luxurious touch and enhanced breathability. The choice of a monochromatic blue for most of the upper ensures a sleek and versatile look, allowing the texture and quality of the materials to take center stage.
Silver accents elegantly punctuate the design, appearing on the 990 branding at the lateral heel, the N logo, and the tongue tag, providing a sharp contrast to the blue. The heel tab boasts a 3M reflective finish, adding an element of flair and visibility to the sneaker. Completing the look is the cream and white midsole, complemented by a black and cream outsole.
The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 990v4 Made in USA is available now via early access for select customers of ALD, while the pair will launch on March 15, 2024, through Aime Leon Dore online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
