While the model is soon heading back to the vault, we're still expecting a handful of releases over the next few months, including the low-top Black Metallic Gold, with a surprise appearing — the Air Jordan 2 Retro Low Cherry Blossom. Scheduled for release exclusively in Japan, this edition celebrates the nation's revered cherry blossom season, blending cultural significance with iconic sneaker design in a way only Jordan Brand can.
The sneaker features a pristine white leather upper, perfect canvas for its thematic elements. A gradient light pink TPU heel counter mirrors the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms, while green accents on the tongue add a vibrancy reminiscent of spring. The left shoe bears the classic Wings logo.
In contrast, the right shoe showcases a cherry blossom logo ingeniously integrated with the Jumpman, symbolizing a harmonious blend of Jordan heritage and Japanese culture. This distinctive cherry blossom motif also adorns a special hangtag and the exclusive packaging. Completing the design is a white midsole paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole, transitioning from pink to white, echoing the gradual fading of cherry blossoms.
The Air Jordan 2 Retro Low Cherry Blossom will release on March 21, 2024, through Nike SNKRS and select retailers online and in-store in Japan.
