With Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Reverse Mocha” set to drop on July 21st, many people are counting down the days. After that, rumors have suggested another TS x AJ 1 Low OG will drop, colorway unconfirmed. While we await more details on that pair, an interesting Air Jordan 2 Retro Low has surfaced, and it's not a Travis Scott collaboration...
This mysterious Air Jordan 2 Retro Low is an “SP” edition, which stands for “Special Projects.” This label is usually reserved for collaborations. With that being said, this pair comes in a rocky tan, British tan, gym red, and team royal colorway. It sports an all-brown design, very reminiscent of Travis Scott’s signature earth tone look.
Due to this similarity, many people are dubbing this AJ 2 Low a Cactus Jack collab. However, while the rumor mill is running rampant, quick to dub these a TS collab, that is not the case. They were made in collaboration with Detroit-based retailer, Two 18. Subtle red and royal blue accents via the piping on the sides provide the only pop of color on this pair, as its covered in two-tone browns. A sail colored midsole sits atop a full translucent rubber outsole. Given Two 18's Detroit roots, the sneaker is finished off with a map of Motor City metro printed on the sneaker's insoles.
The Two 18 x Air Jordan 2 Retro Low SP Rocky Tan will release via Two 18 & Burn Rubber in Detroit on October 14, 2022. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide on October 21st, 2022. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $200.
