German sportswear giant adidas has partnered again with Always Do What You Should Do (ADWYSD) to launch a stand-out pair of Country OG's. Based in London, ADWYSD was founded by New Zealander Nick Mason. The brand has found great success with its signature style, blending skate and surfwear aesthetics. Inspiration ranging from one side of the planet to the other provides a multitude of influences, and the current resurgence in skate-style fashion trends has brought classic designs and culture back into mainstream fashion.
adidas has pushed these trends and focused on collaborations with renowned skaters, surfers, and artists such as Dennis Busenitz and Tyshawn Jones, strengthening the brand's standing in the community. This ethos has helped push the boundaries of design while staying true to the scene's roots. The Brand With The Three Stripes remains a prime example of creating authentic trends with traditional history, positioning itself at the forefront of the revival.
After first working together and releasing a Superstar Adv, the adidas Country OG gets the ADWYSD treatment this time. Enveloped by a pearlescent purple leather upper, contrasting metallic silver Three Stripes branding is seen on the sides. Core Black suede appears on the heel panel and T-toe box, with more metallic silver being utilized for the lace set and leather sockliner. A black leather heel tab carries Trefoil branding, while co-branding is applied to the tongues and insoles. Underfoot, the split midsole comes in white and black, with a gum outsole that wraps up the back heel.
The Always x adidas Country OG will release on November 16, 2024, through Always, adidas, and select retailers in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is $120. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest from adidas and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
