Over the course of the last half-decade we’ve seen luxury fashion houses reach down and partner up with sportswear brands across the industry. Already having worked with luxury leathermaker MCM, Puma is teaming up with the Parisian fashion house AMI on a second collection that includes a slew of clothing and footwear options.
Across five different silhouettes, the Puma Suede Crepe, Rider FV, Suede VTG, Slipstream Lo, and Blaze Mid, AMI brings luxury details and premium materials with a color palette that is simple yet effective. Co-branded details in the form of a combined AMI and Puma logo replace the typical branding details found atop the tongue while the heel splits the branding between AMI and Puma on the left and right pairs respectively. As for the color palette, the brand brings luxury vibes through an aged effect on the Suede Crepe as its sole unit comes aged and the upper features cream-shaded suede and green leather details. Aside from the faded denim found on the Rider FV and Jaffa Orange on the Suede VTG, the rest of the sneakers (the Slipstream Lo and Blaze Mid) partake in a neutral color scheme mixed with creams, tans, and accenting blue around the sockliner.
On top of the sneakers, matching apparel comes in the form of shorts, hoodies, t-shirts, outwear, and accessories like bucket hats and fanny packs. All of these pieces feature the same combined AMI and Puma logo found on the tongue tag of each sneaker and follow a similar color palette - mixed between neutral blacks, whites, and greys and vibrant hues like Jaffa Orange and faded denim.
The AMI x Puma Collection has already seen a release through amiparis.com with a wider release through Puma and select retailers set to go down on December 10th, 2022. The sneakers range in price with the cheapest option coming in at $120 and the most expensive being $160.
