Since the early 2000s, atmos and adidas have teamed up for countless collections across a ton of different models and silhouettes. To pay homage to this long standing relationship that has, no doubt, stood the test of time, the Japanese boutique and the German sportswear brand have reunited once again, this time for the atmos x adidas ZX8000 "Mash Up." Taking elements from some of their most iconic ZX8000 colorways and mashing them all up into one, the result is an eye-catching collaboration that's sure to turn heads for decades to come.
Taking on the legendary late '80s running shoe that Hommyo Hidefumi absolutely adores, this ZX8000 boasts vibrant green snakeskin details which are taken straight from the "Glow-In-The-Dark" from 2020. Tonal blue hues make their way to the ZX midsole and heel counter as a nod to 2022's "TJ" and the duo's OG "G-SNK" makes a cameo as well. To round it all off, the eye-catching yellow and red toebox and laces borrow elements from the "Germany," which is one of the original styles that were reissued last year. A crisp white Trefoil is stitched across each of the tongues, and "The Brand With The 3 Stripes" is printed along the custom insoles in multiple languages, finalizing the show-stopping aesthetic.
The atmos x adidas ZX8000 Mash Up is set to release on February 18th, 2023 exclusively via atmos Tokyo. Expected to be available in men's sizes, it'll retail for around $132 each.
