Awake NY's contributions to the sneaker culture have consistently been noteworthy. While many sneakerheads were impressed by the brand's collaboration with Asics to usher in the Asics Gel-NYC earlier this year, many still recall the whispers of a potential partnership with Converse back in 2018. Teasing the sneaker community with the anticipated collaboration on the One Star Ox, multiple samples had made their way to the limelight. And now, with the buzz around Awake NY's future project with the Jordan Air Ship slated for Spring 2024, the long-awaited collaboration with Converse is finally on the horizon.
Across three colorways of the One Star Ox, a Blue, Grey, and Black iteration, Awake NY is able to capture the essence of both brands. The sneaker exudes elegance and street flair, crafted in sumptuous suede. At its midfoot, the Awake branding takes center stage, with the label's clever design where the second 'A' in Awake gracefully occupies the iconic star logo cutout. Underfoot sits a rubberized sole unit with Awake NY and Converse co-branding present on the heel.
The Awake NY x Converse One Star Pro Pack will release October 6, 2023 through Awake NY while Converse and select retailers online and in-store will host a drop on the 12th. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $95.
