With the absence of Yeezy and Ivy Park, adidas has relied more on long-term partners such as Bad Bunny and Lionel Messi for footwear collections that drive hype to the brand. Benito has been on a tear lately, launching his take on the Gazelle silhouette in the San Juan colorway, and is soon set to release the White Black rendition. Messi, the Inter Miami superstar, has launched multiple footwear collections, both for lifestyle and on the pitch, that are themed after Inter Miami and his home country of Argentina. However, the two adidas athletes are now working together to collaborate on one of adidas’ signature soccer cleats, the F50 Elite FG.
We can see the soccer cleat comes coated in the titular cardboard hue with tan shades dominating most of the silhouette. Cream accents hit the Three Stripes along the midfoot of the left pair, lining panels on the upper and along the lace and tongue. Pops of bright cyan land on the Three Stripes on the right cleat and the co-branded adidas, Messi, and Bad Bunny logo tongue, sporting the phrase “Messi Para Bad Bunny” (translating to Messi for Bad Bunny). Inside, the tongue borrows the design from Benito’s new Gazelle with a vintage Three Stripes design alongside the Messi Para Bad Bunny branding.
The cleat's technical features include the HybridTouch and Sprintweb 3D molded upper, which offers flexibility and improved ball control, a Sprintframe 360 outsole for agility on firm ground, and a knit “burrito” tongue for enhanced comfort. On the outsole, the stud configuration is optimized for traction on firm ground, with additional forefoot studs and a generative stud design present.
