Expanding on Timberland’s 50th Anniversary celebration in 2023, the brand continues its commitment to fostering creativity and mentorship by teaming up with CNSTNT:DVLPMNT, which was founded by Timberland senior footwear designer Chris Dixon in 2018. Through various initiatives over the years, CNSTNT:DVLPMNT has addressed the lack of diversity in the footwear and apparel industry by nurturing untapped talent and challenging students to view themselves as creators.

As part of the duo’s latest project, Glow Forward, Timberland and CNSTNT:DVLPMNT hosted five Youth Design Workshops across Baltimore, Charlotte, New York City, and Philadelphia, offering students hands-on experience in footwear design, sketching, and creative storytelling. More than 125 participants took part, but one designer stood out—Liliana, a Bronx teen whose vision of happiness and community inspired the Shades of Happiness Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot.

The Glow Forward Collection introduces a new take on Timberland’s iconic footwear lineup with three distinct boots and a graphic T-shirt, all inspired by self-expression and community. Liliana’s Shades of Happiness Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot takes center stage, reimagining the classic Timberland boot through a lens of joy and unity.

Another highlight of the collection is the CNSTNT:DVLPMNT Waterproof Field Boot, which features a sleek black upper contrasted with a mint-colored outsole. This design represents the “glow” of creativity, symbolizing the spark of innovation that mentorship and artistic development can ignite. For those looking for a bold and fashion-forward option, the women’s Stone Street Shades of Happiness 6-Inch Platform Boot offers a fresh take on Timberland’s signature style.

Timberland is donating $150,000 to The Constant Development Foundation to further champion design education and mentorship, fueling programs that nurture young creative talent. This initiative ensures that the future of footwear design remains bright, fostering opportunities for emerging designers to leave their mark on the industry.

The CNSTNT:DVLPMNT x Timberland Glow Forward Collection is available now through Timberland and select retailers online and in-store. The 6-Inch Waterproof Boot is priced at $210, while the Waterproof Field Boot and 6-Inch Waterproof Platform Boot retail for $170.
