Timberland is no stranger to working with partners from across the globe. Previously, we’ve seen the iconic boot makers partner with Tokyo-based brand nonnative on Field Boot, which dropped back in 2023. They’re reprising the partnership and applying a similar color palette to a Gore-Tex-covered version of the 6-Inch Lace-Up Boot.
The pair, featuring a hairy suede, Gore-Tex-coated upper in a light tan shade, is inspired by the Urahara/Harajuku street fashion movement of the ‘90s. This period of Japanese fashion saw the birth and upbringing of many different legendary designers, such as Hiroshi Fujiwara, NIGO, Jun Takahashi, and Shinsuke Takizawa, all of whom have gone on to shape not just Japanese streetwear but the global fashion scene as a whole. In particular, the movement saw many American workwear brands become popular, especially Timberland.

Metallic Silver eyelets hold the lacing setup, resting below the debossed nonnative and Gore-Tex logos atop the tongue. More hits of Gore-Tex branding are on the lateral heel, resting above a debossed Timberland logo and the black accent stitching details that run along the heel panel. Final details include the 6-Inch Boot midsole and a Vibram lug rubber outsole.
The nonnative x Timberland 6-Inch Lace-Up GTX will release on February 28, 2025, through nonnative, Timberland, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $220. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
