UK streetwear label Corteiz, founded by the mysterious Clint, has moved past its legal disputes with Nike to become an official collaborator with the sportswear giant. Their previous drops captivated the sneaker community, which includes three colorways of the Air Max 95, Sequoia, Aegean Storm, and Pink Beam, with the partnership being a highlight of 2023. According to Brandon1an, the Air Max 95 will again get the Corteiz treatment with a Black Tour Yellow pair later this year. On top of this new AM 95, Corteiz has also worked on a three-pack of Air Huarache Trainers.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 Black Tour Yellow maintains the model's signature aesthetics while infusing it with the streetwear brand's distinctive edge. The sneaker features mesh netting and wavy leather overlays, colored in a sleek black that serves as the perfect backdrop for the vibrant tour yellow accents. Corteiz's influence is unmistakably present through the yellow branding on the tongue tag, lateral mudguard, and heel, making a bold statement against the darker tones of the shoe. Additional unique touches include a camo pattern on the sockliner and coordinates on the heel, nodding to the location in London tied to Corteiz's grassroots beginnings and its founder, Clint's, first release event. The black Air Max 95 sole unit is rounding out the design with yellow Air units.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 Black Tour Yellow will release in Holiday 2024, with the release method currently a mystery. We may see a typical Corteiz in-person pop-up alongside a release via the brand’s website and a drop via Nike online, though nothing is confirmed as of this writing. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190.
