Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 Gets a USC Home Makeover
PublishedAlthough he’s been in the NBA for a decade, Devin Booker is still finding time to visit various colleges nationwide—no, not for actual visits, but through his signature Nike sneaker, the Nike Book 1. So far, his sneaker has appeared in PE colorways for schools like the University of Missouri, Michigan, the University of Kentucky (his alma mater), and USC, the latter now appearing in a Home colorway.
Unlike the previous pair, which opts for a primarily red color palette across its upper, this iteration of the Nike Book 1 USC PE is coated in a sleek white. Pops of USC’s red shade appear on the mini Swoosh logos on the leather mudguard and vamp and the large Swoosh landing on the canvas twill midfoot panel. The logo is also outlined in yellow to match the collegiate-inspired Book text on the tongue tag and the USC logo applied to the lateral heel.
The book spine-inspired heel tab remains on the heel with Booker’s birth year, 1996, applied in red, and the Chapter One branding is found on the spine in the same color. USC’s logo makes its final appearance on the insole of the sneaker, contrasting the white sockliner and insole with its red and yellow finish. Completing the sneaker is the white rubber midsole with Zoom Air cushioning paired with a red and yellow rubber outsole.
Unfortunately, this Nike Book 1 USC Home PE will remain exclusive to the USC Trojans basketball team student-athletes.
