Last year, adidas held its inaugural Consortium Cup, which saw a variety of its retail partners with collaborative history compete against one another in a bracket-style tournament. Though they didn’t win the overall competition, UK-based END Clothing made a valiant effort with three winning entries in the series, with the final being the ZX8000 Future. This release follows up on the Samba Past and Centennial Lo Present, two other winning pairs from END.
This time, the focus shifts towards a forward-looking perspective, embracing the potential of tomorrow's material innovations and drawing heavily from the desolate landscapes often depicted in science fiction. Transforming the iconic ZX8000 silhouette with an array of materials designed to withstand the test of time, Earth-toned colorways, ripstop panels, and birdseye mesh construction are accented with reflective 3M details, crafting a shoe that's as resilient as it is striking. Exclusive touches such as "Future" scripted along the sidewall and collaborative branding on the tongues and insoles mark this release as a significant milestone in the partnership between END and adidas. The tonal midsole and outsole are rounding out the design, continuing the desolate landscape theme.
The END x adidas ZX8000 Future will release on February 16, 2024, exclusively through END Clothing. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $145. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on releases, raffles, and more in the streetwear and sneaker world.
