adidas again demonstrates its commitment to community collaboration by teaming up with Milwaukee's Eric "Shake" James. This November, sneaker enthusiasts and community supporters can anticipate the exclusive release of the adidas Forum Low CL DAY ONE pack.
In a world often dominated by fleeting trends and fast friendships, the DAY ONE pack is a tribute to genuine, enduring relationships. These are the connections that withstand time, the friendships that never fade, and the support systems that always hold steadfast. Drawing from his journey, James, through this collection, commemorates the significance of "DAY ONE" friends - those lifelong companions who've been there since the beginning.
Eric "Shake" James is not only renowned for his philanthropic efforts in the Milwaukee community but also stands as an exemplar of genuine dedication to local betterment. Through his nonprofit, Jay Academy, and his collaboration with the adidas Cornerstone Community initiative, James has been an inspiration to many. Reflecting on the inception of this collaboration, James shared, "To make a difference in the community, you must be an integral part of it. I emphasize to the youth that life is about choices, and when choosing your ‘DAY ONE,’ choose wisely."
The Forum Low CL's design, deeply rooted in James's experiences, boasts a split suede toecap, a side panel paired with a full-grain leather body, and striking patent leather accents on the lower eyestay and heel cap. The two-way pager design hidden behind the tongue nostalgically nods to James's past means of staying connected with his closest friends. Moreover, the basketball jewel and crossword motif lace system are reminiscent of the shared passions and pastimes that cemented James's connections with his "DAY ONE" friends.
But the tributes continue. In a nod to the origins of sneaker culture and James's love for hip-hop, each pack is complemented with a microphone keychain, a sticker collection, and an art print of the shoes themselves.
The Eric “Shake” James x adidas Forum Low CL DAY ONE pack will officially release on November 11 at James's Clicks store in Shorewood, Wisconsin. The first 400 pairs will come with a QR code, enabling buyers to gift another pair of adidas sneakers to their "DAY ONE." An online release will also take place on the same day via clickskicks.net. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
