Jerry Lorenzo’s three pillars of Fear of God cover every aspect of fashion, from the luxury house-inspired design (and pricing) of the mainline Fear of God collections to the athletic-inspired Fear of God Athletics. In between the two is the Essentials lineup, clothing that lines the racks of Pac Sun and has been a fan favorite for its relative affordability and the high-quality silhouettes that exude Jerry’s design language. While Essentials just dropped its university-inspired collection, they’ve just announced a partnership with the NBA and WNBA that will see apparel collections launch, the first having just released.
Taking the same silhouettes from the latest Fear of God Essentials season, the color palette primarily sticks to Jerry’s favorite neutral and earth-tone look, including creams and greys. Each shirt and hoodie comes with large branding details on the center of the chest, representing eight teams between the NBA and WNBA: the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Chicago Sky, Los Angeles Sparks and New York Liberty. The hoodies come with a two-tone look, changing the color used for the hood to match one of the team’s secondary colors.
The Fear of God Essentials x NBA and WNBA apparel collection is available now through Fear of God’s website, with a wider release via nbastore.com coming on November 27. Available in unisex sizing, the prices range depending on the item, with hoodies priced at $150, sweatpants at $135, shorts at $100, and shirts at $70.
