When it comes to merging pop culture with footwear, Puma is a force to reckon with. While we've seen the Puma MB series with LaMelo Ball take on cartoon themes, the German sportswear giant has drawn inspiration from the cereal aisle this time. The Puma MB.02 Low LaMel-O, inspired by the fictional cereal seen in Ball's Hulu ads, is set to drop.
The white and green colorway of the Puma MB.02 Low LaMel-O has several unique design elements that are sure to delight its younger target audience. The sneaker retains its predecessors' monomesh and TPU construction for durability and lightweight comfort. Its tongue tag features a cartoon depiction of LaMelo on the right sneaker and the "O" logo from Ball's "LaMel-O" cereal on the left. Complementing these details are grey accents on the TPU overlays on the toe and midfoot and Melo's logo on the green leather overlay on the heel. The look is complete with a green Nitro Foam-infused midsole and a marbled white, black, and green rubber outsole.
The Puma MB.02 Low LaMel-O's will release June 16 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $125, $105, $85, and $70.
