New Balance's collaborations have taken the sneaker world by storm, with Asian retailers often leading the charge with some of the most creative designs. One of the latest projects comes from a partnership between Taiwan-based retailer Invincible and Japanese brand N. Hoolywood. The duo, known for their previous work on the 1906R and 2002R models, are back with an updated take on the New Balance 1906U.
Invincible and N. Hoolywood's New Balance 1906U features an olive and grey palette, making it a versatile addition to any sneaker collection. The upper is constructed with a mix of materials, including suede overlays on the reworked toebox, midfoot panel leather, and toe mesh. The midfoot features a suede overlay, while a panel of ripstop mesh sits below the N logo, adding texture and durability.
The sidewall of the mudguard carries New Balance and 1906U branding, with New Balance on the lateral side and 1906U on the medial. Inside, the sneakers feature a co-branded insole with logos for N. Hoolywood and Invincible, and the tongue of the left shoe also bears N. Hoolywood branding. The design is completed with a white and cream midsole paired with a grey outsole.
The Invincible x N. Hoolywood x New Balance 1906U will release on July 13, 2024, through N. Hoolywood, Invincible, and possibly via select retailers online and in-store.
