One of Japan's most premium spots to sneaker shop is KICKS LAB., which not only houses some of the rarest and most exclusive sneakers but has had the pleasure of working on collaborative footwear with various brands over the years. For the Japanese retailer’s latest project, they are partnering with Puma to launch a Made in Japan Puma Palermo.
The archival terrace silhouette, which had a major comeback in 2024, gets coated primarily in jet-black hues by KICKS LAB., with orange and volt accents throughout. Black nubuck lands on the mudguard, vamp, eyestays, and heel overlay, while smooth black leather covers the base layer below. Further black details appear on the lace set and tongue, hosting green accents on the Puma-branded tag. Patent leather shines on the Puma formstrip on the midfoot, which is vibrant orange and features blue accent stitching. Inside, the sockliner takes on a volt green accent. Underfoot sits a black rubber midsole paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
The KICKS LAB. x Puma Palermo Made in Japan KL Sport will release on November 30, 2024, exclusively through KICKS LAB. online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at ¥30,800 (approx $200).
