The Puma MB.03 is the third signature silhouette in LaMelo Ball’s signature line line with the brand. It debuted as part of a collaboration with the NFT outfit Gutter, and the only way to get a pair of the Puma MB.03 Guttermelo was by redeeming a digital token. For this upcoming iteration, Puma outfits the MB.03 in grey and volt green while adding some wild details.
Puma coats the textile upper in two tones of grey, with a lighter shade on most of the upper and a dark grey along the mudguard. An aggressive claw mark effect reveals volt green mesh to bring a sense of vibrancy. Scattered green lace loops hold grey laces in place. Meanwhile, the light grey tongue hosts a “1 of 1” logo on the pull tab, the number "92," and the MB wings logo — all in black and green. This number references the points scored by Melo in a high school game while he attended Chino Hills. Rigid foam supports the back ankle with a wavy design, while Puma and more Melo “1 of 1” branding is stamped in black and volt. Moving down, the ridged midsole and coral-patterned outsole come in grey darker than any others used throughout the sneaker. Finally, volt green spells out “Rare” across the forefoot of both outsoles.
The Puma MB.03 Hills will release November 17, 2023 via Puma and select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. The sneaker is releasing in men’s and gradeschool sizing, with retail set at $125 and $105, respectively.
