All eyes are on Paris, France, where top athletes, including LeBron James, prepare to compete in the Summer Olympics. In the lead-up to the games, Team USA Basketball practices and exhibition games have become a showcase for exclusive PE colorways of various performance basketball models. Recently, LeBron revealed his new training silhouette, the LeBron TR 1, during a practice session, and now, he has unveiled his next signature shoe, the LeBron 22.
While we did get a look at his 22nd signature sneaker with Nike via an Instagram post, that pair was an all-black colorway, and we only had one angle to view. With Bron taking the court in his Nike LeBron 22 USA PE, we have a clearer look at the sneaker. Its design echoes its predecessor, the LeBron 21, with a low-cut silhouette and a streamlined tongue. However, the LeBron 22 introduces significant updates, particularly in the upper's construction.
The shoe sports a large single leather panel that sweeps across most of the sneaker, creating a sleek and cohesive look. A distinctive feature is the large cutout on the midfoot, forming the shape of a Swoosh, which in this colorway comes in a striking navy finish. White leather accents dominate the upper, complemented by vibrant red hues on the sockliner, tongue lining, and heel. The sneaker is completed with a navy and white midsole and a crisp white outsole, embodying the classic Team USA color palette.
This Nike LeBron 22 USA PE will be exclusive to LeBron James and will likely be worn throughout the 2024 Summer Olympics. However, we can expect the LeBron 22 to debut in the coming months, with pairs like the Monopoly collaboration and Royal Pulse hitting shelves.
