New Balance has been a powerhouse in mesh runners, with models like the 1906R gaining traction in sneaker culture and high fashion. While the brand is known for its performance-driven designs, New Balance has recently ventured into more fashion-forward territory. This shift is evident with the introduction of the 1906L Loafer, a sneaker-loafer hybrid that blends the brand's athletic heritage with a sleek, classic aesthetic. First showcased during Junya Watanabe’s fashion show earlier this year, the 1906L has been highly anticipated since, with the Metallic Silver colorway launching in September. As we look ahead to 2025, New Balance has a Pink colorway on the way.
The New Balance 1906L Loafer Pink features an upper constructed from mesh and leather, with pink hues dominating the design. The tongue, toe, and midfoot are covered in a pink mesh that offers breathability and comfort. Metallic pink leather overlays add a touch of luxury, lining the mudguard, midfoot, and toebox. A tan overlay accents the toe, while a silver-grey TPU heel counter provides stability at the back. The sockliner is finished in white, contrasting with the bold pink leather strap that crosses the forefoot, reminiscent of a traditional loafer's design. The look is completed with a pink and tan foam midsole for cushioning and a black and grey rubber outsole that ensures traction and durability.
The New Balance 1906L Loafer Pink will release in 2025 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
