New Balance continues to impress with its innovative takes on classic styles, particularly with the introduction of the 1906L model, a stylish loafer version of the beloved 1906R mesh runner. Following previews of the Metallic Silver, Brown Navy, and Kelly Green colorways, we have first look at a new Rich Oak variant.
The New Balance 1906L Rich Oak steps away from its predecessors' typical mesh and synthetic materials, opting instead for a luxurious full-suede upper that exudes a rich, autumnal vibe. This model features the distinctive triangular overlays of the 1906R, adapted to suit the loafer's sleek silhouette. Integrating a TPU heel counter enhances durability without sacrificing the shoe’s refined aesthetic.
Unique to this loafer iteration is replacing the traditional lacing system with an elegant suede strap, simplifying the profile while maintaining a secure fit. Subtle branding includes an embroidered N logo on the toe and 1906L text on the lateral heel, signaling its unique loafer design. The design is completed with an all-black foam midsole and a matching rubber outsole, ensuring that style meets comfort and functionality.
The New Balance 1906L Rich Oak will release Fall 2024 via New Balance and select retailers both online and in-store. Pricing details are yet to be announced. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release, along with more sneaker news and raffle information.
