New Balance’s 1906R is one of the brand's several technical sneakers to cross over into the lifestyle space. Whether focusing on classic colors with the Brighton Grey interpretation or taking on more distinct materials such as Wheat Cordura, the 1906R has proven its versatility. This time, New Balance paints the silhouette with a stealthy black and grey color scheme.
The New Balance 1906R Black Grey sees a black spacer mesh stretching across the silhouette. It’s broken up by dark grey overlays with white detailing that creep up the sides of the upper, forming into eyelets and part of the eyestay. The "N" logo appears in black with grey 3M trim, and elsewhere on the upper you'll see a black heel cage, black laces, and 3M-striped heel tab. It all sits atop a black Abzorb midsole, with light grey pods under the heel and a matching “N-ergy” logo. The outsole joins the majority of the shoe in black, with the only splash of color appearing via a “Stability Web” logo in grey.
The New Balance 1906R Black Grey is expected to release this year via New Balance and select retailers, online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is expected to be $150.
