Back in April of last year, New Balance took the wraps off the first 2002R with a removable pouch. While this rugged rendition proved pretty popular amongst gorpcore enthusiasts and urban explorers, the Boston-based sportswear giant still hasn't revealed more colorways. Well, until now that is. Expected to drop as part of a much wider the collection, the hotly-anticipated New Balance 2002R "Beige Green" is officially here, and here's everything that you need to know.
Outfitted in a creamy beige leather construction, this 2002R is equipped with mesh throughout for the perfect balance between form and function. The iconic "N" logo is finely embroidered across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while the inner sockliner is dipped in a lush green hue for a contrast that's sure to turn heads. Elsewhere, a dash of gray suede wraps around the heel, and this leads to the creamy ABZORB midsole which offers a very vintage vibe. Across the laces you'll find a waterproof stash pocket that's made from nylon and fastened with a single zip. For sneakerheads who aren't fans of this utilitarian feature, you can take it off very easily and you're still left with a pretty cool looking shoe.
The New Balance 2002R Beige Green is set to release sometime in 2023 in men's sizes. Expected to drop via New Balance and select retailers online and in-store, a retail price has yet TBA. As mentioned before, this will launch as part of a much wider collection, so make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App to keep up to date on future releases.
