New Balance may have a major hit with silhouettes like the 550 and 2002R, though its 9060 silhouette is vying for a top spot. Introduced in 2022, the Y2K-inspired chunky sneaker has been doused in a series of colorways ranging from vibrant makeovers to more earthy, mature looks. Continuing the latter of the two color palettes, the latest New Balance 9060 colorway comes to us in a tan “Driftwood.”
Seen here in a mixture of suede, mesh, and leather, the model features a combination of white mesh with creamy leather accented by driftwood-shaded suede. These hairy suede panels land around the toebox and wrap back to the heel, passing the “N” logo with its cream and silver finish. TOnal cream laces work up a white mesh tongue towards the hairy driftwood suede and its 9060 branding. More tans hits are found on the TPU eyelet, while the upper comes complete with creamy leather hits on the heel tab and collar. Underfoot sits a chunky tri-toned 9060 midsole in white, grey, and cream paired with a light black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 9060 Driftwood will be released in 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
