This year marks the 40th anniversary of New Balance's Flimby factory, and to pay homage to this massive milestone, the footwear company is ending 2022 with a bang with the New Balance 991 Made In England "Black Grey." Inspired by the humble Donkey Jacket that was worn by English laborers back in the 1800s, this is a collection essential especially if you're a fan of NB's Made in England line. If you want a pair in your rotation this season, keep on reading to find out everything that we know so far, including confirmed release information as well as pricing details.
Crafted in the UK from some of the finest materials that New Balance has ever used, this 991 is dressed in black supple leather throughout with buttery suede and textured wool detailing. A dash of Harris Tweed takes over the toebox for that quintessentially British aesthetic, and underfoot, you'll find a two-tone ABZORB midsole that switches between white and grey complete with metallic accents for that vintage vibe. To round it all off, the iconic "N" logo is stitched across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while "991" is embroidered impeccably around the heel, finalizing the design.
Set to release on December 14th, 2022, the New Balance 991 Made In England Black Grey will be available in men's sizes via New Balance and select online and in-store locations worldwide, with a premium retail price of $260.
