New Balance's Made in UK line, constructed in the renowned Flimby factory, has produced some of the highest quality footwear for decades. The Made in UK line is celebrated for its craftsmanship and premium materials, and the latest model to emerge from Flimby is the updated 991v2. This model was introduced at the end of 2023 and has since been featured in several collaborations and inline colorways. The newest addition to this line is a clean and stylish Brandied Apricot colorway, perfect for those looking to add a pop of color to their sneaker rotation.
The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Brandied Apricot features a sophisticated construction, highlighting the brand's commitment to quality. The upper is crafted from pigskin suede, mesh, and TPU, all coated in a single pink hue. This pink shade covers the pigskin suede overlays on the mudguard, midfoot, collar, and heel, providing a consistent and sleek look. Leather overlays add a touch of contrast to the toebox and heel tab, maintaining the premium feel of the sneaker. The iconic N logo on the midfoot is finished in silver, adding a subtle shine to the design.
For branding, the 991v2 includes navy-colored 991 and New Balance logos on the tongue, an additional 991 text on the lateral heel, and a V2 logo on the heel tab. These navy accents provide a striking contrast to the pink upper. The midsole features a cream and white finish with navy pods near the heel and forefoot, ensuring style and comfort. The black rubber outsole completes the design, offering durability and traction.
The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Brandied Apricot will release on August 7, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $260. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
