New Balance President and CMO Previews Upcoming Made in UK 991v2 Colorways for Spring/Summer 2025

Few brands, such as New Balance, champion craftsmanship and high-quality footwear products. Outside of its Made in USA collection, the brand also reserves a few silhouettes for an even more premium line, Made in UK. This includes the 991 and the new 991v2, replacing the original when it first launched in 2023. Looking ahead to the Spring/Summer 2025 season, President and CMO of New Balance, Chris Davis, has shared images of upcoming 991v2 Made in UK colorways on his LinkedIn profile.
In his post, Davis states, “'Quiet luxury’ is not just a momentary fad, two-year trend, or topical buzzword in fashion. In the case of New Balance, it is an enduring core attribute that has been ingrained into our brand’s DNA for decades.” This rings true with the 991v2 and its upcoming colorways in Green and Blue. Both pairs opt for the same colorblocking and material makeup, adding pigskin suede in a tonal shade on the mudguard, midfoot, eyestays, and heel overlay.
Below this sits a similarly shaded mesh base layer, contrasted further by grey nubuck panels on the toebox, vamp, and tongue overlays. Branding for New Balance is found on the midfoot, with the iconic N logo doused in a dark navy finish and surrounded by white leather. Final details include the Made in England branding on the tongue, 991 embroidered on the lateral heel, and a cream foam midsole combining Abzorb and FuelCell cushioning for modern comfort.
The upcoming New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Green and Blue will release during the Spring/Summer 2025 season through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store.
