As we try to look forward to the warm weather ahead, all-white sneakers start to hit the streets. While your typical white on white Nike Air Force 1 goes with almost every outfit, Nike Sportswear is bringing back a 90’s basketball classic ahead of the summer months, the Nike Air More Uptempo ‘96 “White/Midnight Navy.”
Famously attributed to Scottie Pippen, this Nike Air More Uptempo ‘96 is constructed with leather across the entire silhouette. White overlays around the toe box and mudguard are accented by a navy blue embroidered Nike Swoosh on the toebox. Along both sides of the midfoot, the famous leather overlays spelling AIR appear in all white, separated by perforated leather and eyelet stays for the ghillie lacing system. Heading back to the heel, the bungee pull tab sits above a midnight navy jeweled Nike Swoosh dominating the white leather surrounding it. Rounding out the look is an all-white sole with visible navy blue Max Air cushioning.
After numerous delays, the Nike Air More Uptempo White Midnight Navy is scheduled to release on May 7th, 2022, at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide in-store and online. Coming in full-family sizing, men’s pairs will retail for $160.
