Devin Booker's debut signature sneaker with Nike, the Nike Book 1, has quickly become a fan favorite on the hardwood. Since its launch, the Book 1 has seen a variety of colorways, from sleek general releases to coveted player exclusives. Nike is extending the Book 1 line with an exclusive version for participants in the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL). This marks yet another addition to the EYBL PE lineup, which recently featured special makeup for models like the Sabrina 2, KD 17, Kobe 8, and Jordan 11 Retro Low IE.
The Nike Book 1 EYBL PE boasts a premium leather upper that covers the toebox, mudguard, eyestays, and collar, all dressed in a vibrant laser orange hue. This bold shade extends to the workwear-inspired twill material on the midfoot, giving the sneaker a visually striking look. Adding an extra layer of depth, the Swoosh on the lateral side features a lenticular design with a graphic print that catches the light. Custom EYBL branding is found on the lateral collar, with EYBL Fam' Reunion spelled out, while a golden EYBL crest adorns the right sneaker's lateral heel and tongue tag. The left tongue displays the signature Book branding, returning the design to its namesake.
In a personal touch, Booker’s dog, Haven, is featured on the heel and insole, with the insole tag humorously listing the shoe’s composition as 50% family, 45% Haven, and 5% Be Legendary. For performance, the Book 1 EYBL PE is equipped with a tonal rubber midsole and a clear rubber outsole, both working together to house full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam cushioning and a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel, ensuring a responsive and comfortable ride.
The Nike Book 1 EYBL PE will remain exclusive to those who attend the Nike EYBL this year, so don’t expect to see it hitting retail.
