If you’re like any other sneakerhead, you have to be getting tired of seeing Dunk colorway after Dunk colorway in the same design we’ve come to know since 1985. Thankfully for us, The Swoosh understands that change is a good thing from time to time as we’ve seen plenty of reworked silhouettes incorporating massive amounts of Dunk DNA, the latest of which is the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2. Already appearing in the infamous “Panda” colorway, a University of Michigan-inspired colorway is headed our way.
Taking on the team colors of the Wolverines, the two-tone leather upper is dressed in deep navy blue shades with yellow hits accenting throughout. On the mudguard, redesigned slanted eyestays, and heel overlays, the aforementioned navy blue allows for the yellow leather underlay to shine through. On the toebox, an extra eyestay is added, creating a slanted look for the navy blue laces, working up to a redesigned Nike Dunk branded tongue tag. Along the lateral midfoot, two Swooshes appear with one mini coming embroidered while the larger of the two is visible only by a stitching outline, though the medial side features just the stitching details. Back on the heel, an extra leather overlay is added and held together by tonal navy stitching threads. Internally, the sockliner continues the two-tone look while the insole gets a retro pinwheel Nike Swoosh design atop a white and multicolor background. Rounding off this Michigan colorway is the white Dunk midsole paired with a navy rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 Michigan W is slated to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
