Nike Furthers Their Flyease Program For Kids

Published

Set to debut in 2022 is the Nike Dynamo Go and Play Pack. This apparel and footwear collection brings Flyease technology to the kids. We’ve seen Flyease all across the board since its debut in 2015. Now the Swoosh is eyeing an innovative line of products that include kid-inspired features and designs to further sport for young athletes to play whenever and however they want.

The Needs

After receiving feedback from Nike kid shoe testers as well as their parents and caregivers one thing was certain, Nike needed to make getting shoes on-foot easier and faster. Along with autonomy, they are also looking for a shoe that fits great, is lightweight and has a grippy sole to handle all types of movement. With that feedback in mind Kevin Dodson, Global Vice President for Kids Footwear Product aims to erase any struggle kids have to get gear on and off, whether its footwear or apparel. He along with Jermaine Younger, Senior Director of Nike Kids Product also aim to make sure those in the disability community have ease of access as well.

The Solutions

Upon hearing out all the wants and needs from kids and parents alike, Nike created the Dynamo Go sneaker for little kids along with the Play Pack apparel collection which includes tops, jackets, hoodies and pants for big kids. All items in this capsule feature Nike Go Flyease technology. The Nike Dynamo Go features a collapsible heel for hands-free ease, wavy lines on the upper to create stability and a secure fit during side-to-side movements and, a wrap-up toe grip for reinforcement when kids inevitably drag their feet on the ground or while riding a scooter or a bike. On the apparel side of things, the main focus was to make items accessible with one hand. This statement stays true on the Play Pack Woven Pants, Jacket and Hoodie.

The Results

Dodson, who brought home a test pair of the Nike Dynamo Go for his 3-year-old daughter saw firsthand how the technology benefited children. After letting her know that they were just to try, she stepped into the sneakers and took off running all over the house. Noting that they were “super cool” as well as beautiful,” it was clear that the Nike Dynamo Go was the perfect shoe for her. Now the hard part, getting them back. Dodson’s daughter did not want to give them back and as a result, two pieces of chocolate were the only answer to getting them away from her.

The Nike Play Pack line, including the Nike Dynamo Go for little kids and various apparel for big kids, is set to be released later in 2022. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on this release as it gets closer.
