Celebrating hip-hop's rich culture and history, Nike has been rolling out an exciting collection of sneakers marking the 50th anniversary of the genre. The latest addition to the lineup is the Nike KD 15. Kevin Durant's signature sneaker continues to show his love for music, as Durant previously worked with hip-hop producer 9th Wonder on another collaborative colorway for the KD 15.
Like other colorways from the “50 Years of Hip Hop” collection, this KD 15 features a subtle and sophisticated color scheme of black, white, and grey. Ashy black shades cover the engineered mesh base, complemented by the tongue, leather collar, and heel in a darker hue. The tongue tag departs from the usual KD branding, flaunting a Nike-branded "50 Years Of Hip Hop" logo. Another piece nodding to hip-hop comes in the form of a metallic gold microphone hangtag. Shades of beach bring contrast through exoskeleton side cage and Zoom Air-cushioned sole unit, and a black outsole rounds out the look.
The Nike KD 15 50 Years of Hip Hop is set to release in June through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
