After being spotted on the feet of KD during practice, official images of his fifteenth signature sneaker with Nike, the KD 15, have surfaced. While no press release or tech specs have been announced, the release of Kevin Durant’s newest sig is coming sooner than later. Kicking things off for the KD 15 is this “Beginnings” colorway.
Taking design cues from the KD 14, the KD 15 goes for more of a React Presto approach, with a modified hard plastic on the sides, replacing the classic Presto-like mid-foot strap. The cushioning system along with its design on the midsole/outsole remains similar, yet slightly different, with full-length Zoom Air and cushlon foam returning. The height of the sneaker also changes, coming in more of a low-top than a mid.
As far as color placement goes, black and boarder blue make up the majority of the sneaker. A light blue highlights the laces, tongue, and lining with pale yellow branding on the sides via the Swoosh and Zoom Air. A multi-color design covers the tongue in its entirety with pale red accenting “KD” labeling on the tongue, back heel pull tab, and KD's number "07" on the heels. More custom hits come via the logos on the inside tongue and Durant's nickname "Easy" embroidered on the heel tabs.
The Nike KD 15 Beginnings is currently set to release on April 15th, 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $150. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
