The Nike KD 15 is a frontrunner for performance basketball sneaker of the year, and with so many dope colorways already, Nike is telling us they are going to keep the train rolling. From excellent traction, to an incredibly responsive cushioning setup that doesn’t sacrifice court feel, and a low-cut around the ankle with plenty of lateral stability, the KD 15 reminds us all that Nike Basketball is still capable of delivering a top-tier performance sneaker at an affordable price.
The double-layered mesh upper of this Nike KD 15 features a swirl of brown against the mostly cream-colored upper. A small strip of reinforcing fuse along the border of the upper and midsole is done in a soft shade of blue, similar to the inner liner and the exposed pod of Air Zoom branding on the midsole. The plastic stability wings are a peachish-pink, with debossed lines resembling a pressure map meteorologists use.
A pop of royal blue is on clear display inside the stability wing and on the tongue, as the Nike Swoosh and KD logo both come in the royal blue accent color. The ribbed heel counter is the same peach color as the stability wings, with a similarly colored heel tab showing “EA$Y” stitched into it using blue thread. The midsole is a tan color, as the outsole rubber comes marbled in tan and peach, with the torsion plate in light blue tucked neatly inside the middle of the outsole to complete the colorway.
The Nike KD 15 Cream Pink Royal is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $160.
