While we may not see a basketball team like the 1992 Olympic “Dream Team” ever again, the US team is always one of if not the best squads every time the world comes together for this showcase in sports. Aside from the games themselves, the Olympics have served as inspiration for plenty of sneaker releases and the latest comes to us courtesy of Kevin Durant’s latest signature silhouette with The Swoosh - the Nike KD 15.
Coming covered in gold hues throughout the upper, this regal shade gets accented by hits of red and navy blue throughout. Across the engineered mesh upper you’ll spot a pattern of gold and white with the former of the two shades scribbled in random patterns while the midfoot cage comes covered entirely in a golden hue. Red laces run up a white tongue matching the sockliner, KD branding, and pull tab that all come accented by a blue mesh on the top of the tongue. Further branding hits come in the form of a multi-color Swoosh located in the center of the midfoot cage and the word “Easy” (nodding to KDs “Easy Money” nickname) written on the pull tab. One final hit of gold on the upper is located on the velvet heel tab while the entire design is rounded out by a navy blue midsole featuring gold and red speckles paired with a navy blue rubber outsole.
The Nike KD 15 Olympic is set to release on February 3rd, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
