Nike is set to drop the second "What The" colorway of Kevin Durant's signature sneaker, the KD 15, on the same day as the launch of its successor, the KD 16. The Nike KD 15 "What The 2" continues the tradition of combining elements from various colorways, but this time with a new color-blocking scheme that inverts parts from the original "What The" iteration.
For this second “What The” colorway, we see Nike flip the script, placing details found on the left and right sneakers from the first mismatched colorway, and invert their placement with a few added changes. Pieces from the “Aunt Pearl” colorway are spotted on the left pair’s engineered mesh upper, while the tongue takes details from the “Boarder Blue” colorway. Other details, like the laces and sockliners, swap sneakers and get placed on the opposite foot. The exoskeleton side cage receives a purple makeover, starkly different from the GITD cage on the other "What The" edition. The sole units come in a multi-color makeover and swap color placement on each sneaker.
The Nike KD 15 What The 2 will be released on May 5th, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
